ABOUT US
Clavier Loft is co-founded by Fanny Goh and Katherine Chong. It started with an idea to form a partnership to inspire and educate a new generation of music lovers in a holistic teaching environment.
Fanny Goh
Fanny has been teaching piano since 2002. With 14 years of experience, she has gained vast knowledge on various teaching skills and is able to capture the heart of the students especially the young children. She is a mom of two girls, which allows her to understand the temperaments of young children.
Music teaching is no longer like in the past, focusing only on exam oriented learning would easily bring down the interest of the children. Fanny believes in inquiring new methods to motivate her students and giving alternative materials on top of the exam syllabus. For this, she frequently goes for upgrading courses to improve herself.
Katherine is a full time piano teacher and music student. She began electronic organ lessons at the age of 9 and extended to piano repertoire in her late teens. She has since been teaching piano for the past 15 years with high score graduates.
As a teacher, she feels that it is not enough to just teach them how to play the piano. Time is invested in exploring and developing methods to motivate students and help them to understand and appreciate the musical ideas of different genres.
